General Project Scope:

HOMRICH performed the demolition of this 120-foot-tall 7-story incinerator building in two phases. The incinerator was located in the middle of the active Wastewater Treatment Plant. In 2007, a partial demolition was performed to allow the construction of a new incinerator building mere feet away from the old building. Nearly four years later, HOMRICH returned to the site to perform the final demolition of the structure. HOMRICH utilized a specialty High Reach Excavator to perform this delicate demolition. All demolition work was performed without disruption to the adjacent newly constructed incinerator building or the active Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Salvage of 375,000 lbs. of various grades of stainless steel
Disposal of 255 yards of construction & dirt debris
Recycling of 16,000 tons of concrete & hard fill
> 99% of the building was recycled
