General Project Scope:

HOMRICH was contracted to perform the total demolition of a 6-story, 325,000 square foot post-tension parking deck. The project was located approximately two feet from an active parking deck and 16 feet from an adjacent historical building. HOMRICH’s High Reach and Ultra-High Reach Excavators were utilized on the project to methodically dismantle and safely lower the structure to the ground.

The project also involved asbestos abatement and selective demolition of a 7-story, 300,000 square foot former powerhouse structure and total demolition of 75,000 square foot of building. Approximately 30,000 tons of concrete, 2,000 tons of debris and 2,000 tons of scrap were handled during the project. In all, over 95% of building materials were recycled on the project.

The project started in September 2008 and finished on schedule in November 2009.
